About the event

Lynn Barber, author of Extreme Birder will give a talk on “Birding the Islands of Western Alaska.” She will tell of her adventures birding on St. Lawrence Island (Gambell), St. Paul Island, and Adak Island. Plus, she will speak on her short stint on the infamous Attu Island. Come see beautiful bird photos captured on her trip and expect to walk away knowing a little bit more about each island.

Besides being the author of many books Lynn has held many positions in birding organizations: past president of the Fort Worth Audubon Society, past president of Texas Ornithological Society and a board member of the American Birding Association. Her book Extreme Birder tells the tale of Lynn’s Big Year of birding. She will share all this knowledge and experience in the field at this presentation. Please wear a mask and chairs will be social distanced.

If the Wausau School District has canceled school the meeting will be canceled.
