About the event
"The Fall Family Festival" will be held on Sunday, September 11th from 11am-2pm at the Mead Wildlife Area. Audubon members and students from Dr. Perry Cook’s UWSP Science Methods classes will help with a variety of “hands on” craft and nature activities including building a bird feeder. There will be a Monarch butterfly tagging event. Participants can also take a (guided) wild flower walk. Participants can also explore the nature trails, the boardwalk, observation decks and "Green Energy” visitors' center”. At 1pm, Rex Runke will provide a LIVE Bird program! Come out and bring the whole family.
Snacks will be provided and picnic tables are available if you want to bring a lunch.
This event is FREE! The event is co-sponsored by the Aldo Leopold Audubon Society and the Friends of the Mead/McMillan Assn. The Mead Wildlife Area and Visitor Center is located at S2148 County Hwy S, Milladore, WI 54454
