FIELD TRIP: An Autumn Exploration of Steinhaugen Recreation Area

Join ALAS for a field trip exploring Steinhaugen Recreation Area. Over 2 miles of rolling, mowed trails meander through its 270 acres passing through large stands of mixed mature forests, open meadows, and ponds. Wonderful examples of  glacial erratics that gave the property its name are evident throughout the route.  The Steinhaugen property is located at 3485 Bentley Rd, Custer, WI, seven miles northeast of Stevens Point.
