About the event
My name is Erin Giese, and I am the Associate Director of the Cofrin Center for Biodiversity (CCB) at UW-Green Bay. I earned my master’s degree in environmental science and policy at UW-Green Bay and got my job at the CCB 14 years ago. I help seek funding and provide direction for the administrative, academic, and outreach operations of the CCB. Using my background in ornithology, wildlife monitoring, and project management, I serve as a principal investigator for the Great Lakes Coastal Wetland Monitoring Program, Oneida Bird Monitoring Program, and land management of UW-Green Bay natural areas. I administer our annual CCB Student Grant Program and serve as the founding advisor for the campus student organization, UW-Green Bay Bird Alliance. I truly enjoy working with CCB student employees and training them to become the next generation of scientists. I value my son, family, friends, equity, diversity, and inclusion above all…
