About the event
Jennifer Price Tack is a large carnivore and elk research scientist and is the lead decision analyst in the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' Office of Applied Science. She will share some of her work with black bears in WI, including updates on research to better understand bear reproduction and effectiveness of agricultural damage abatement alternatives. You'll learn more about bears in Wisconsin, how the DNR uses science to inform policy, and what it is like to dive into an occupied bear den!
As a DNR scientist, Jennifer’s role is to provide the best available science to inform management of wolves, bears, and elk in Wisconsin. Additionally, she lends her expertise in decision analytics to a wide variety of natural resources problems within the agency. Jen gained her Ph.D. in Wildlife Sciences from the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences at Auburn University, where she studied coyote and white-tailed deer…
