Join Gene for a day learning about common raptors in Central Wisconsin and the research into the migration of these birds by spending a day in the field. Meet at Dunham’s Sports (5601 Hwy 10 E. Stevens Point) parking lot on the far north end. Gene will pick the group up there for the trip out to the banding site. (15 min. trip).
This event is limited to 4 people because that is the capacity in the blind.
We ask that participants be vaccinated agains Covid 19, and face masks will be required while in the blind and while traveling to the banding site.
What to bring: Binoculars, water bottle, lunch.
There is a "rain date" for this event - Rain date Thursday, September 23.
Several more dates will be available in September or October. These events are very weather dependent so keep your eye on the website for future opportunities this fall.
