About the event
A little bit about Ray Reser:
Education: Ph.D. — Archaeology and Paleo- Anthropology Australian National University.
Biography: Ray P. Reser completed his Ph.D. in Archaeology and Paleo-Anthropology from Australian National University. He was a Ph.D. Scholar with the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, ANU, North Australian Research Unit, as well as a Researcher with the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies. Since 1985 Ray has been conducting archaeological survey and fieldwork projects in the Western Great Lakes, Australia, New Mexico, and Utah.
Dr. Reser’s interests include Late Pleistocene and Early Holocene hunter-gatherers in Australia and North America, rock art studies, lithic technology and sourcing, and the use of indigenous knowledge, sense of place, and origin stories to inform the archaeological record.
