Give a Gift that Keeps on Giving!

Updated: Dec 18, 2021

It’s nearing the end of the year and even in times of pandemic, we have much for which to be thankful. Over the past 15 years, our Audubon Chapter has created and invested in a foundation account where interest accrued has allowed us to be proactive in our Central Wisconsin Communities. Please consider an end of the year donation to our foundation and put your money to work for years to come.

We have had many projects that without the funds from our foundation account, we would not have been able to accomplish. A few are listed below:

  • Continuing support for raising Kestrels in the Buena Vista Marsh

  • Maps outlining sections of the Green Circle Trail

  • Kiosks and signage for Schmeeckle Reserve

  • School forest grants and grants to schools to improve wildlife habitat and teaching materials

  • Solar panels for Schmeeckle Reserve

  • 1200 bluebird boxes and a trail throughout Central Wisconsin

  • Support for a Plover River bridge crossing for the Green Circle Trail

  • Research on the migration of Northern Saw-wet Owls

  • Research on annual ranges of the Red Shouldered Hawk

  • Hundreds of monthly speakers providing pertinent information on topics of concern

As you look at your end of the year donations, please keep the Aldo Leopold Audubon Society in your consideration. No donation amount is too small. Every penny will be invested in our future chapter activities. Donations can be sent to the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin, 1501 Clark St., Stevens Point, Wisconsin 54481. Be sure to put ALAS in your check tag line. Or, pay online with a credit card at https://www.aldoleopoldaudubon.org/ways-to-give. You will be helping preserve birds and other wildlife habitat in our area.
